Our RV Resort is within walking distance of Florida's world-famous beaches on the Emerald Coast just 5 minutes from Destin in Fort Walton Beach. We are on located on Okaloosa Island, which is part of the Gulf Island National Seashore. You'll enjoy everything our coastal community has to offer including beautiful sights, excellent restaurants, entertainment, family fun activities, fishing more. All RV sites are brick paved, 74 feet long, and include a patio and picnic table with lush landscape dividers. Plus, soak in the sun and view, at our waterfront pool complete with tables, umbrellas, and comfortable lounge chairs.
While at the RV Resort, you will have access to all our excellent amenities. We have a community bonfire and s' mores every Tuesday and Thursday evening. The panoramic views of the Choctawhatchee Bay could keep you mesmerized for hours. Built-in stairs and platform provide for quick and easy access to the bay for swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing, or just relaxing. For your convenience, we also have a 24-hour credit card only laundry and bathhouse. At the check-in office, you'll find resort memorabilia, local information, camping supplies, a give-and-take book library, and fun stories if you ask :)
To top it off, you also receive access to every amenity at the Gulf front resort, The Island, by Hotel RL. Located directly across the street, The Island boasts the famous grotto waterfall pool with a seasonal swim-up bar. The Island also offers a hot tub, heated lap pool, lounge space, and most importantly, beach access! It doesn't stop there, The Island has indoor and outdoor eateries including a beachfront bar, poolside grill, and lobby restaurant. You can even book and host your event or wedding at The Island.

Rv park was clean and well managed. Nice semi private back ins with privacy landscaping. Paver pads with picnic table did not line up with awnings for a fifth wheel. I think pads were designed for motor homes.
Location is not the best for pulling in and out into busy 4 lane traffic

Destin West RV is the best RV resort in the area. It’s clean and well maintained. We loved the heated pool and full access to the Island hotel pool and beach access. We will definitely book this resort again in the future. Highly recommended!

We had a beautiful site and quiet campground with a friendly staff. The sky bridge access was great. The kids enjoyed the water access to the bay for paddle boarding and kayaking. Thank you for a great vacation spot that we will be returning to.

Just got home today after a week at Destin West RV Resort. We loved it. Loved the proximity to the beach, pools at the Island,pool at the resort, shopping & restaurants. Loved that I could see at nite to take our 2 dogs out & all the green space.Spots were a little tight especially with a pole & truck from another site in the way but staff came & helped us get in. Very nice plantings between sites& trash pick up too. Hope we can go again next year!!

The location was absolutely beautiful along the bay and conveniently right across the street from the beach. The RV Park was so clean and we felt safe staying there. Easy set up with the camper. The access to hotel amentities and their beach was a plus. Super easy check in and a late enough check out time. Located off a busy road but in either direction you could find plenty of fun things to do and close access to grocery stores. Everyone we encountered including the staff was so friendly. One of the best breakfast places we drove to was Parlor Donuts which was a few miles down the road and we highly recommend. We would absolutely come down and stay here again!

We spent a week at this resort last week. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, kept very clean and semi-private slips with bushes between each site. The staff was friendly as well. There are some tables/chairs at the back of the campground that overlook what I believe is called a bay. We enjoyed sitting out there at the end of the day watching the sunset. We also enjoyed having access to The Island Resort across the street. We enjoyed the pool with a swim up bar as well as the beach bar. It was also a great place to watch the sunset right on the beach.

It was a great vacation! We had so much fun from the beach to the restaurants and stores. Easy access to everything! The RV park was very neat and clean and the water view was beautiful! The staff was knowledgeable and very professional also friendly!
