Destin West Rv #30 Towable RV

Short walk direct beach access. Clean, well maintained. (3) Great grassy areas for pets. Little to no shade areas, adding a few sun shades would be greatly appreciated by all guests, inexpensive and easy to remove for storms if installed proper. No ice, no bathhouse which was disappointing.
Interesting that you can use the Island Hotel pool but not the other Destin West pools, but that matched what was advertised when booking.

Overall we liked the site and property, however, we found our site landscaping overgrown into the sites to to point of walking into it or affecting parking. Photos on website show well kept and mulched grounds, which is not the case. It was nice to use to pool at the island and location to the beach is good. Staff while friendly don’t do much to maintain the property-

Everything was great at Destin West. The Pool was wonderful. The shrubs need a some TLC trimming with lots of dead branches but site was clean and well maintained. Always a fun time by all. Highly recommend Destin West. We’ve already made our reservations for next year already.

Gorgeous beaches across the street. We stayed two nights here in our 22 ft Dutchman RV. Clean sites and grass for dogs to walk. Well maintained park.

We love this RV Park, this was our 6th winter staying at this park (we usually stay for 6 months). We had to cut our stay short due to the ridiculous high cost for the months of March and April. We are hoping upper management will rethink how they set the prices for long term renters, or we may get to a position where we will no longer be able to afford staying at the RV Park.

Love this place ! It is in a great location. I have stayed here for the past three years but I have noticed the landscaping has declined. The mulch is very lacking and the shrubs look unkept. The parking pads need to have the sand blown off after each camper departs and the occasional pressure wash to remove stains. I have observed this decline over the past two years. I would absolutely stay there again but come on staff spruce it up to what it used to be!

Destin West is a beautiful destination! We will definitely be back! The resort amenities, the sunrises on the bay, close proximity to everything you need and extremely friendly staff make this a 5 star RV resort! We couldn't have been more pleased!

We were very impressed overall with our stay. The campground is kept very clean and it’s nice being on the bay. We’re already planning for our stay next year.

Best place ever

Unfortunately this last trip to Destin West wasn’t as good as previous visits. They have always offered a discount for repeat customers, which is no longer given due to employee issues. The park was not maintained as it usually is. The staff was less than friendly, which was a huge let down. We have been repeat customers for that reason.

Our stay is always wonderful there. It still needs a little work on shrubs and definitely needs mulch are something for the flower beds instead of just some of the sand at sites are nasty. People need to pick up their trash and clean up around their sites before they leave. Site 34 was gross had sticky candy
juices sidewalk chalk on bricks cigarette butts in sand and trash under table. I cleaned table myself only cause ants were all on table. I told the guy picking up garbage that day and he says he will try to get to it later. Well no he never came back. We cleaned it. I never seen anyone cleaning up sites after people left. And those chairs out by tables facing bay need to go before the material tears and someone falls through them. They are rotten. I love this place and will be back. Been coming here since it opened.

We stayed at the Destin West RV Resort and absolutely loved it. Having use of The Island Resort was so nice, we used the gym and beach area. Lots of great restaurants in the area to choose from. Can’t wait to go back!

Everything was good enjoy all of it

Would have given 5 stars if internet worked. Are stay was very enjoyable other than the internet was not working during our stay so no movie streaming for us. They did have cable vision but it was iffy also. The location was excellent and the staff was amazing. We will definitely be back.

We enjoyed our stay so much that we extended it an extra day!! We loved the resort & everyone there! It’s a perfect location & they are very accommodating. We will definitely be back!!

The location was very nice! I would like to see the bath house updated! It had a musty odor and it needs a window or some form of ventilation ! It was very hot! Other than that we liked it! We wasn’t able to hook up to cable.

We certainly enjoy our 6 month stay every winter, and will be back again next year, and for many years after.
One suggestion: Install a hot tub in the northwest corner of the pool deck.

This is our 5th winter staying for 6 months at Destin West RV Resort, and plan on coming back every winter.

We had another wonderful experience staying at Destin West RV Resort for 6 months this winter, looking forward to returning for another 6 months next winter. Here are a few recommendations to improve the park - remove the fire pit (seldom used) and replace it with a pickleball court, add a hot tub in the northwest corner of the pool area, add a dog run in the middle of the park, and please do something about upgrading the WiFi and Cable TV.
