I really didn't expect how beautiful and pleasant this place is, very clean and organized, the staff very friendly, I didn't have time to enjoy all the attractions it offers, but I'm sure I will return, thank you/la verdad no me esperaba, lo bonito y agradable que es este sitio, muy limpio y organizado, el personal muy amable, no tuve tiempo de disfrutar de todas las atracciones que ofrece, pero estoy seguro que regresare, gracias

Location was ok. Very busy, but I guess that is the norm for the area. The whole staff walked off the job the day after we arrived. the bathhouse was disgusting. lucking we didnt have to use it. and the staff wasn't too friendly. maybe they were disgruntled and that is why they walked off the job.

Campground was immaculate. Sites are spacious and landscaped. Great location! Several places to walk to for food and shopping. Great view of the bay. Took advantage of the pools and beach access at the resort. All in excellent condition. Will be back next year!

Our Experience at Destin West RV was amazing!

The campground was beautiful and each site was secluded! It's on the smaller side but that's what made it perfect. The pier was within walking distance and the staff were wonderful! Will definitely stay here again!

This place was great for a quick one night stay near Destin, FL. (Its actually in Ft. Walton Beach) It was great to be able to use the amenities of the resort across the street such as the larger pool with rock waterfall and beach bar. The RV resort pool was hot and needed to be chilled, and the hookups were all located in soft dirt so that made disconnecting and hooking up a mess as the water made quick mud and got all over the power supply, and other hoses. This resort was very expensive but id say worth it, as the location was very close to a beautiful beach and there were many restaurants nearby and things to do. Adventure park right next door was an added bonus also.

Destin West campground is very nice. We have one concern about this campground. There is a restaurant/club next door. The first three afternoons and evenings were quiet and beautiful. The last three evenings the restaurant called Ricks had very very loud live bands that played until 1 am. It made for a very uncomfortable stay. If we knew about this music festival the week of our stay we would have went elsewhere.

It doesn't surprise me you didn't get my first review and sent another request for a review. Below is my first review and I haven't changed my mind and have shared it with others.
Unsatisfactory!! The most expensive RV "RESORT" I have stayed. The Hilton Head National RV Resort is a true "Resort" and $75 dollars a night cheaper. DWRVR is run down, not managed during working hours and for that matter no overall management. No landscape maintenance, no shrubbery maintenance, no mulch maintenance (actually, no mulch). SAND everywhere. If you are not going to maintain mulch on a regular basis install grass. What I saw in your pictures doesn't even come close to my experience. Don't blame the hard winter for the appearance. Shrubbery could have been cleaned of dead foliage and should have been swept and replaced with mulch. If the shrubs were bitten by the hard winter and not green while I was there I understand but clean up the mess left by the winter. Amenities?? Maybe at the other part of the resort, but who wants to walk to a larger site shared by non RVers. Hilton Head National RV resort, has a lazy river, club house with restaurant, office staffed with 3 or more people who "answer the phone" not some distant answering service, excellent daily landscape maintenance and a friendly staff and since you don't have a staff I couldn't evaluate them. Spend some of the money charged on a better landscape contractor to provide a "FULL" service contract. All I saw was the typical landscape contractor who mow, blow and go in the only grassy area you have. You have a nice sign but hard to see on your first arrival while driving a RV. Your right, I won't be back.

This was our 3rd stay at Destin West and we have already booked our 4th! Place is clean, sites are spacious, and the staff are always helpful and friendly. Highly recommend this place any time of year. Only suggestion is upgrade the pool furniture as the lounge chairs are not comfortable.

The resort was clean and well maintained. Beautiful landscaping and very friendly helpful staff. Great location on the island with great shopping and dinning nearby. The access to The Island Resort across the street was great.

Super friendly, clean and above accommodating

On our way back to New Mexico from Disney World we decided we wanted a beach front stay. Destin West fit the bill perfectly. We originally booked one night but after arriving we loved the park so much that we booked another night. The staff was great and the park was extremely clean. The proximity to the emerald coast was perfect from us. Also the ability to use the resort across the street was a huge plus. Our family definitely recommends this place when heading to Florida.

Wonderful

Love the park and location as well as opportunities to use next for and across street facilities. Cost per night a little high, but guessing that is to stay in paradise.

This Rv resort is very nice. Great sites with access to beautiful views. I would recommend this place and look forward to coming back here again.

Great RV resort. Excellent location, friendly staff and very clean.

This was our third time staying at Destin West RV Resort. We love it. The sites are nicely arranged. The bathrooms are clean and the washer dryers all work! The easy access to the Gulf and the views of the Bay are wonderful. I like that there is easy access to everything east and west of the park.
My only complaint is that the last time we returned, we were given a discount. This time, a repeat customer discount was not available; something about a box I was supposed to click when I made the reservation. I thought that was ridiculous.

We loved it again as always! When we was checking out, they asked what could they improve. My answer was absolutely nothing it is perfect!

You couldn't have ask for a better location or pristine grounds. We enjoyed the pool and the view of the bay was awesome! The staff were very accommodating and friendly.

We always enjoy our time at the resort. Having the bay, multiple pools, and the gulf accessible is hard to beat. Storms were rolling through while we were on the property but the kids were able to swim in between rain showers. The staff is friendly and the facilities are clean. It’s one of the nicest RV parks we visit.
