Rv #31 Towable RV

The appearance of the property has improved from the last two years. Willie has been a big part of implementing positive changes. As we were leaving, landscapers were removing all the palm trees from the front of the property. It opens the campground up to all the noise from very busy highway 98. I hope there are plans to replant vegetation and or add a fence to mitigate hightway noise.

Truly loved the location we will back this fall break again
My concern is the spot needs a new mulch on the garden it will make it looks better also need a trash can for every spot instead of laying the trash on the ground they picked it up quick but can would be a good idea

The park is just like the pictures, very clean. It felt safe and privacy is somewhat achieved by beautiful landscape. We wished bathroom/shower facility were larger but since no tents allowed it makes sense that money should be spent on other more used areas of the RV park. We used and enjoyed the pool and hop tub in the hotel across the street. The public beach access was also across the street which is very convenient. We ate at Rick's just through a gate in the wooden fence and it was much better than other places we tried!

That said, the physical appearance of the park has gone downhill. There were weeds growing on the site, no mulch, and the bushes that were damaged in the freeze of December 2022 are still there. Half dead bushes are not an attractive look. If a dead bush was removed, it was not replaced, The lack of landscaping has made the park look shabby. The pool was closed for 3 or 4 weeks during our stay. While we were able to use the Island hotel across the street, it is not nearly as convenient.

Friendly staff, sites were clean, the employess picked up our trash as soon as we set it out. The pool and the bathrooms by the pool were clean. I will definitely stay there again. Excellent location to inlet and ocean with a over pass to the ocean/ broadway that we could utilize.

Nice place

We had a great week of sun and fun at Destin West RV park. The beach was clean with amazingly soft white sand. We enjoyed the pools and the bars at the island hotel.

Absolutely beautiful resort, perfect location close to everything and very friendly staff

We love this RV resort. We do wish there were more amenities such as a hot tub, a fenced area for dogs, and a pickle ball court. The gas fire pit by the pool seems to be underutilized and could be removed. We also wish there was mulch on the sites. Mulch would help with the never-ending sand making it’s way into the RV.

Very clean and staff was very nice and helpful. My only complaint was Wi-Fi was not very good.

Had a wonderful time and love the location

We loved our stay at Destin West RVPark and will definitely be returning. The facilities were well maintained and the staff were friendly and helpful. One of our favorite things about this park is that it is located on the bay side of Okaloosa Island and right down the road from a public launch. We were able to launch our jet skis and anchor them in the bay when not in use. Note: Bring a good anchor if you plan to do this so your skis don’t end up in the middle of the bay lol. Also, it is a short 5 minute ride by jet ski to Crab Island.

Great place to stay. Staff was very helpful and did help us with backing our 5th wheel onto the RV pad. Would definitely stay here again.

Very clean and friendly park. About the only issue is that the WiFi was super spotty, didn't work on any of our devices. At this point I have learned not to ever really rely on it, I just wish places would stop advertising it.

Fun family vacation. Absolutely great to enjoy the amenities from across the street . The kids love this place!!! Shout out to Jamie!!! He was so so helpful and always around and happy to help with anything!!! I loved this experience!!!

Everything is great, location, and having access to the hotel beach is amazing, but honestly there are only two restrooms with showers, that made our experience not great, since our camper does not have either.

WE STAY AT DESTIN WEST EVERY YEAR FOR THE WEEK OF THE 4TH. WE LOVE THE PROPERTY, THE STAFF, AND THE CONVENIENCE OF THIS LOCATION. WE ALWAYS RECOMMEND DESTIN WEST TO OUR FRIENDS/FAMILY.

We had a great spot, the staff was friendly. The only thing we were not happy about is that we weren’t able to put our chairs and umbrellas up by the water. I feel as though we were at the Rv park we should of been able to put our chairs at the water.
