As a guest of the RV resort, you will have access to excellent amenities. To start, we have a community bonfire, with smores, every Tuesday and Thursday evening. There are stairs and swim platform to access the water for swimming, paddleboarding, kayaking, fishing, or just relaxing with the panoramic views of the bay that could keep you mesmerized for hours. You'll also have 24-hour access to our credit card-operated laundry and 24-hr bathhouse. It's located on the Gulf of Mexico directly across the street. At The Island, you will enjoy the grotto pool with a swim up bar, hot tub, lap pool, lounge space and most importantly, beach access! The Island also has indoor and outdoor eateries including a beachfront bar and lobby restaurant. Other amenities include games on the beachside promenade and an exercise facility at Destin West Beach and Bay Resort.

That's right, as a Destin West RV Resort guest, you get free beach access at The Island by Hotel RL, a Beachside Resort. Enjoy the Gulf of Mexico sun, sand and waves with the family or friends. Grab drinks from the beach bar and chill all day. This is what RV'ing at the beach is all about.

INTO THE GROTTO
Some things you have to see to believe, the Grotto pool at The Island is one of them. This 'rock' has a rushing waterfall and towers three stories over the pool. Inside the 'grotto' is a bar that you can swim up to or walk in to. It's amazing!
